Meals for the Elderly is dedicated to serving warm, nutritious meals to the homebound elderly in and around San Angelo, Texas.
Good nutrition helps improve the health and well-being of the elderly and improves their quality of life. It's goal is to enable the elderly to live independently, in their own homes, for as long as possible. Recipients are over sixty-five years of age, live alone, and are unable to prepare their own meals.
Calvary has committed to provide delivery volunteers one week in July. In July, 2021, 14 members delivered meals.
Calvary also designates occasional offerings for support to Meals for the Elderly. Collections during the 2021 Lenten Wednesday night service were earmarked for Meals for the Elderly.
If you would like to donate to Meals for the Elderly as a member of Calvary, you can write this designation on your church envelope or on your check.
If you are interested in meal delivery, please contact Marie Williams, Calvary Team Leader, or contact Meals for the Eldery directly.
